Air Fryer Whole Chicken
This air fryer whole chicken comes out with crispy, golden skin and juicy meat, all without heating up the oven. It's a simple way to roast a whole chicken in about an hour.

What you'll need
- 1whole chicken (4-5 lbs)
- 2 tablespoonsolive oil
- 1 teaspoongarlic powder
- 1 teaspoonpaprika
- 1 teaspoondried thyme

Let's cook
- 1Pat the chicken very dry inside and out. Remove giblets if present.
- 2Rub the chicken all over with olive oil, then season generously with garlic powder, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper, including inside the cavity.
- 3Stuff the cavity with lemon halves if using, and tie the legs together with kitchen twine if desired.
- 4Preheat the air fryer to 360F and place the chicken breast-side down in the basket.
- 5Cook for 30 minutes, then flip breast-side up and cook for another 25-30 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165F in the thickest part of the thigh.
- 6Let rest for 10-15 minutes before carving.
